Monopoly is one of those board games I hate. I couldn’t understand it, I wasn’t ruthless enough to be good at it and I always had to be the boot because all the other pieces were taken or lost already. But instead of throwing my old Monopoly board in the bin I have decided to to make something with it…

10 – Dressed in the Winnings
You might think you have won a game of Monopoly if your date turns up wearing this! With a Monopoly money dress and Monopoly chance card purse it is a winner that will get a hotel quicker than most things.
9 – Community Chat
This is all too much coolness to handle, I can’t decided which I love more. Is it the Monopoly Board cover, the Monopoly Board bookmark or the hotels and houses used as charms on the bookmark?!?
8 – Hand Board Games
Anyone who can make a fairly good-looking handbag from an old Monopoly Board gets my respect. Made from a Monopoly Jr. Board there is a certain funniness to it.
7 – Jail Shelves
Reading through the making guide (the one in the image link) there is a lot more to making one of these than you might first think. But a great use of an old Monopoly Board that is for certain.
6 – Spill coffee, get out of jail free!
While not the most imaginative item you are going to see in this list I think they do look really cool. Each coaster set contains 4 unique Monopoly themed coasters that will stop any cup ruining the table.
5 – Sitting at the train station
While I am really impressed with this for the love of me I can’t work out how this skilled crafter bent the board around the seat! Or maybe it is just a print, and the rest of it is mod-podge.
4 – Free Parking For Things
Made with the money rather than the board, but that doesn’t mean you couldn’t make one better with the boards! Still it does look amazing.
3 – Old Box Road
To be that little dog was always the true treasure of any Monopoly Board, but I could make one of these treasure boxes and put loads of life’s little treasures into it.
2 – Light Works
While it is a little ugly it’s the finer details that make this extra special. From the hotels and houses being used as tassels, to the player pieces being sprayed silver and used as the base art it is a work of art that I would be happy to have in my home.
1 – Don’t Pass Bling
Without a doubt this is the best thing anyone could make with an old Monopoly board. Sure some of them have been printed out, but the hotels are used for the draw handles, and main cabinet at all made from the Monopoly box.
